Marjory A. Broderick, 70, of Cape Coral, Fla., a registered nurse and former resident of Arlington Heights, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Born and raised in Quincy, Ill., Mrs. Broderick graduated from St. Mary Nursing School in Quincy in 1951. She worked as a registered nurse at Loretto Hospital in Chicago from 1952 to 1970. She then continued her nursing career at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, where she served as a head nurse in obstetrics during the 1980s. She retired in 1988. In 1992, Mrs. Broderick retired to Cape Coral. “She really was like an angel to everyone,” said her son Patrick Jr. “If people needed help, she was there for them.” Other survivors include another son, Michael; a daughter, Peggy Aradi Kramer; two sisters, Rosemary Werneth and Bernie Griefer; a brother, Jack Finigan; and six grandchildren. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. in St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
