Arthur F. Smuck, loving husband to Patricia, nee Devlin, of 43 years; cherished father to Art (Kathy), Michael, Lisa (Pete) Nielsen, Amy (Kevin) Murphy and the late Mary; devout grandfather to Karen, Mary Jeanne, Sarah, Elizabeth, Michael and Brendan, Matthew; beloved greatgrandfather to Christopher. Visitation Sunday, 4 to 9 p.m. at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL. Funeral Mass Monday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. He was a 32 year resident of Libertyville, and Vice President of Product Development at Kenmar Corp., in Detroit, MI. A native of Indianapolis, Mr. Smuck attended Cathedral High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Notre Dame. He served in the Korean War. He was involved in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program of Lake County for 35 years. He was an active parishoner at St. Joseph Parish, Libertyville. Involved with Catholic Youth Organization, the Vocations Club and the Sharing Ministry with Presentation Parish in Chicago. Additionally, Mr. Smuck was involved with Rainbows for God’s Chidren, Clown Ministry and the Relay For Life Cancer Walk.
