Gerald Daniel Long, an Army veteran, died October 20 after an extended struggle with lung cancer. He was born September 10, 1933 in Sioux City IA, brother of Kenneth (Mary), Thomas (Dorothy), Michael (Debbie), Margaret (the late George) Dyrssen, Monica (Kurt) Luenser and Eleanor (the late Arthur) Hoch; uncle of 25 nieces and nephews. Funeral Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the John E. Maloney Funeral Home, 1359 W. Devon Ave. to St. Ita Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
