Marshall E. Leonard, 92, of McHenry and Ironwood, Mich., died Friday, Oct. 13, in Fairmont Hot Springs, British Columbia. He was raised in the Chicago area and attended trade school to become a pipe fitter. He worked in Indiana and Ohio steel mills and at the Commonwealth Edison nuclear plant in Zion. He lived in the Pistakee Bay area of McHenry for more than 50 years. In his later years, he spent time in Ironwood, where he enjoyed observing wildlife. Survivors include a son, Marshall Jr.; a daughter, Deborah; and a sister, Janet Gmeiner. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 4206 W. Elm St., McHenry.
