Blues artists Kaichiro Mouri and Rolling Katchan, along with local Japanese transplant and boogie-woogie expert Yoko Noge, kick off the fifth annual Asian American Jazz 2000/Chicago festival at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (through Nov. 13) at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Randolph St. $18 to $38.50. 312-280-2660.
