Richard W. Meyer Jr., 47, musician and outdoor enthusiast, Nov. 1 in Cheyenne, WY as a result of complications following cardiac bypass surgery. Born in Chicago, he graduated from Lake Zurich High School and attended the University of Wyoming, where he studied wildlife management. A member of the Defenders of Wildlife and the Audubon Society, his outdoor interests included nature conservation and protecting wolf and grizzly bear habitats in Yellowstone National Park. He also wrote music and played guitar in many bands. Rick was the beloved father of Tracy M. Meyer; dear son of Emily K. and the late Richard; fond brother or Ronald of Lakewood, CO; nephew of Kathleen Sauser and Marie (Lou) Pubich of Chicago. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Rd., Lake Zurich, IL.
