It is interesting that the Republicans felt justified dragging the American people through eight years of special prosecutors.

This event led to nothing but a bill of more than $50 million, great disruption in Congress and publicly scrutinizing President Clinton’s private extramarital affair.

Yet those same Republicans considered the Democrats’ legitimate concern over proper voting procedures, which are the core of our Constitution, to be trivial and not good for the country.
