Sales are under way for Sandringham, a Zale Homes community of 24 houses in Palatine.
Seven two-story floor plans range from 2,689 to 3,692 square feet and have four or five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, and attached two- or three-car garages. Base-prices range from $419,900 to $475,900.
Four decorated Sandringham models are available for viewing at Muirfield Village at Gregg’s Landing in Vernon Hills, where sales are being conducted for both communities.
Base-priced at $475,900, the 3,692-square-foot Driscoll is one of the models. It has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, two stairways and a three-car garage.
Sandringham is located at the corner of Quentin Road and Kensington Court, between Euclid and Algonquin Roads.

Westar Properties Inc. is auctioning two houses and seven condominiums at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 at Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, 205 Remington Blvd., Bolingbrook.
The two houses are at Lakewood at Broken Arrow, a golf course community in southwest suburban Lockport. They are at 16863 and 16850 S. Ottawa in the Dakota Glen neighborhood.

Magellan Development Group Ltd. and Cataldo-Marovitz LLC have begun pre-construction sales for The Caravel, a 27-story condominium building at the northeast corner of Dearborn and Ontario Streets.
The building will offer up to 126 units base-priced from $300,000 to more than $1 million, 12,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor and four floors of parking for 136 cars.
Building features include brick and pre-cast concrete with art deco detailing and a glass-curved corner at street level.
Floor plans include five two-bedroom, two-bath designs ranging from 991 to 1,326 square feet, one three-bedroom, two-bath plan with 1,622 square feet and penthouse units ranging from 1,550 to 2,300 square feet.
