John B. “Bud” Grimm, age 73, Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000 at Hinsdale Hospital, Hinsdale, late of New Lenox, survived by his loving wife of 50 years Dorothy C., nee Gebhart, Grimm; two sons, Glen F. (Jeannie) Grimm, Greg J. (Ann) Grimm and one daughter Gaylyn A. Grimm; five grandchildren Lauren, Jackie, Madeline, Natalie and Greyson John Grimm. Born in Chicago, living in New Lenox the past 7 years. Retired from The Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as an agent for 43 years of service. WWII Navy veteran, member of American Legion, Thomas Hartung Post 1977 where he served as Chaplain, St. Jude Church and was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 63 years. Preceded in death by his parents John P. and Marie, nee Ertl, Grimm; a sister Rita Kuligowski; and a cousin Eugene Barkus. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Roads, New Lenox, Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m. Services Wednesday, Jan. 3, 10 a.m. to St. Jude Church for a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
