Elizabeth A. “Betty” Rumsey, passed away December 30, 2000, in Chicago, IL, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon R. Rumsey; she is survived and loved dearly by her two children, Barbara (Victor) Kornacki and Robert (Georgette) Balke; her grandchildren, Vincent (Kristen) Kornacki, Jillian Kornacki and Kimberly Kornacki; her brothers, Patrick J. Bell and her sister, Catherine (Frederick) Schmidt, Christopher Balke and Jessica Balke; she was also a cherished member of the families of Christine LeBlond and Eileen Lyons which include their children and grandchildren, Scott, Cherie, Aaron, Rebecca, Matthew and Jesse. She will be missed immeasurably and forever treasured by all her family members as well as by her dedicated and best friend, Angie Gleason. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2001, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
