Adeline Biegaj, nee Sypek, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2001 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Richard of Lublin, WI; one son Walter of Searcy, AR; three brothers Joe Sypek of Parma, OH, Malan Sypek of Neenah, WI and Henry Sypek of Owen, WI; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Chuck and Sue Mains; she is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers Frank and Edward Sypek. She was born June 16, 1926 to Louis and Katie Sypek, nee Sagen in the Town of Roosevelt, Lublin, WI. She attended area schools and in July 20, 1947, she married Richard Biegaj at St. Helens Church in Chicago, IL. She was a cosmetologist and had two beauty salons in Chicago and one in Lublin, WI. She made people beautiful for 47 years. She also farmed with her husband until 1984. She also worked for Phillips Plastics in Medford, WI for a short time. Adeline was very talented person, sewing and making quilts, bed spreads, pillows, etc. She was one of the very best cooks and bakers in the area. She never said no to anyone who asked for help or advice. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Her battle with cancer lasted for over two years, but she continued to persevere. Her other talents included painting oil paintings and having that “magical green thumb” in the garden. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin, WI with Rev. Marian Talaga officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, also in Lublin. Friends may call at the Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, WI on Friday, January 5, 2001 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in her name be given to Home Hope Hospice of Rib Lake, WI.
