Mitch Lisiecki, 67, of Lindenhurst, IL, died January 5, at Lutheran General Hospital of massive injuries from an auto accident. Design Engineer (ret.) from Abbott Lab, also from Kitty Stamp & Coin Shop, 6440 W. Gunnison, Chicago. He was associated with Block Buster’s Video Management Team this past year. Beloved husband of Kitty, nee Gallup, former stamp dealer and artist, creator of “Gallup Embroidered Silks.” Mitch was a helping hand and guiding force in all her works. Mitch was Treasurer for the Lake County Art League for many years and a recreational pilot. Veteran of the Korean War with the Army 7th Div. Survived by brother Jerry (Alice), Surprise, AZ; nieces Chris Lisiecki, Barbara, nee Lisiecki (John) Morgan; stepson Larry (Susan) Link, Frankfork, IL, stepdaughter, Elena, nee Skiniotes (Mark) Brasher; stepgrandchildren, Lisa, nee Link (Darin) Habenicht, Heather, nee Link (Tim) Stone, Jennifer Fly, Nick and Clayton Brasher; five stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Roberta, nee Gallup (Bob) Davidson, Ada Davis, nee Gallup, Val, nee Gallup (Jim) Waugh, brothers-in-law, Robert (Evelyn) Gallup of Joliet, late John (Eleanor) Gallup of Green Lake, WI, late Richard Gallup, Ralph Gallup; and many nieces and nephews; also survived by his beloved cat, “Stalker” and over 1000 birds and misc. wildlife he fed each morning.
