Deacon Jerome Mix, 69, of Sturgis, formerly of Oak Park, was called into the loving arms of his heavenly father on January 8, at his home, surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; mother, Tillie, both of Sturgis; children, Douglas (Sharon) Mix, of Yorkville, IL, Geralynn (Michael) Bryan, of Naperville, IL; three grandchildren. Jerry was retired from Sears after 43 years of employment, he was active in the church and was ordained a permanent deacon in 1989, he was active in Boyscouts, Nights of Columbus, Holy Angels Catholic Church. Visitation at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sturgis, Wednesday, from 2 to 8 p.m. Scripture service at 7 p.m. Funeral mass Thursday, 11 a.m. Interment Friday, 1 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
