Iris J. Berens, 72, of Ft. Myers, FL, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001 in Ft. Myers. Mrs. Berens was born August 31, 1928 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Rose Latin and Samuel Kaufman. She had been a resident of the Ft. Myers area for the past four years, moving from Highland Park. An active volunteer for the Jewish Federation of Lee and Charlotte Counties, FL. Mrs. Berens is survived by a daughter Sheryl B. (Kenneth A.) Weiner, Ft. Myers; three grandchildren, Michael, Andrew and Ryan Patrone. Graveside service Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, 9 a.m. with Rabbi Benjamin Sendrow, officiating.
