Harry C. Nash, 93, a resident of Westmont for 49 years and a retired U.S. postal employee, died Saturday, Jan. 13, in the Brighton Gardens nursing home in Burr Ridge. Born in Chicago, Mr. Nash was a letter carrier in the city and later a supervisor in the main post office there. He retired after nearly 30 years with the service. “`He used to love to go fishing, up in Wisconsin and Michigan every year, stay by a lake and fish for a week,” said his daughter Christine May. She added, “In his later years, he enjoyed woodworking and made all sorts of things for the family.” He served in the Navy during World War II. Other survivors include his wife, Ruth; two more daughters, Roberta Nash and Donna Swartz; a sister, Arlene Smith; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Toon Funeral Home, 109 N. Cass Ave., Westmont.
