Robert W. Beening, 53. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2001 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 739 Grand Canyon, Hoffman Estates. Born November 16, 1947 in Chicago to Cecilia and Wayne Beening. He died January 12, 2001 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, nee White; his three children, Mark, Denise and Robyn; his parents; sister Judith (Harry) Kroeger, all of Schaumburg, sister Mary (Edward) Kaminski of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews. After serving in the US Air Force for four years, he worked for UOP in Des Plaines for 26 years as a process design engineer, involved with petroleum refining technology. His interests included sports, camping, coaching his children’s sports teams and was involved in the YMCA Indian programs. Visitation will be from 3 p.m to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Michaels Funeral Home, 8900 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg.
