In California, we already have the open borders that Byrne refers to.
As a schoolteacher for the Lodi Unified School District in the San Joaquin Valley, I can tell you firsthand that immigration has caused educators to completely overhaul their approach to teaching.
Our agenda isn’t reading, writing and arithmetic but English-language development, ethnic awareness and multiculturalism.
No need to wonder why test scores are so dismal across America.
We don’t have any time left in the day to teach the fundamentals.
