Heating costs skyrocket. Pump prices reflect OPEC. Most solutions we hear of are short-term tweaking through tax relief and pressure on suppliers, or slightly longer-range incentives to push the envelope of exploration for more of the precious resource.
But little is said by politicians or the media about the ultimately finite supply of gas and oil.
Our culture is dependent on energy. I’d like to see a conversation begin that would lead to the necessary research and development of energy sources.
