Viewers who enjoyed seeing the Fourth Annual Crystal Ball telecast last month on “All My Children” can purchase their own keepsake of the event, a crystal votive and decorative candle with a logo commemorating the ball. The special item is available through Feb. 2, by logging on to ABC.com.
James Hyde’s four years in the military have earned him a special honor, as host of the American Veterans Awards. Hyde, who plays Sam on “Passions,” appeared at the event, which helps raise the awareness, image and morale of those who have served in the armed forces. The AVA’s, which took place in Beverly Hills in December, will air on the History Channel on Feb. 11. Actors Chuck Norris and Richard Crenna and broadcaster Dan Rather will be among those honored.
It is likely that Alex Donnelley will leave her role as Diane on “Young and Restless” shortly. Diane has just given birth to a child she claims is Victor Newman’s, but the infant could also be Jack Abbott’s, thanks to a mixup at the sperm bank. Donnelley has portrayed the character of Diane several times on “Y & R,” starting in 1982.
On Feb. 11, Patrika Darbo (Nancy, “Days of Our Lives”) will chair the 16th Annual Heart Run & Walk in San Fernando Valley, Calif., benefiting the American Heart Association. Participants can choose between a 5K or 10K run, a 5K walk and a children’s walk.
