Vera Thompson Jolicoeur, 66, of Dixon, formerly of Schaumburg, died January 19, 2001, at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon. She was employed by State Farm Insurance prior to her retirement in 1996. Vera was born March 27, 1934, the daughter of August Charles and Jewell Anne, nee Panosh, Boutin. She married Charles R. Jolicoeur on April 28, 1979, in Schaumburg, IL. She was a member of the Lost Lake Community Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Stacey (Jeff) Brooks of Algonquin, IL; one son, Terry Thompson of Hanover Park, IL; one stepdaughter, Pam (Chip) Eggert of Bloomingdale, IL; one sister, Claire Stika of Boynton Beach, FL; and one brother, Robert (Annamae) Boutin of Plainfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2001, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling, IL, with the Rev. Robert W. Clardie officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2001, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, IL. A memorial has been established to the National Cancer Institute.
