Peter Edward Prignano, age 80, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Bellwood and Melrose Park, WWII Veteran, Pacific Theater, founder and owner of The Rosewood Funeral Home in Bellwood, IL, licensed funeral director for over 50 years, passed away at his home in Bloomingdale on Feb. 15, 2001, surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his devoted lifetime partner of 54 years, Charlotte T., nee Foleno and his cherished children, Ann E. (Jack) Stahelin, Patricia M., R.N. (Dwight) Dahl, Mary T. and Carla L. (Thomas) Cappilupo; dearest Papa of Anthony, Teresa, Rachael, Natalie, Claudia, Jacqueline, Thomas, Robert and Annette; dear son of the late Edward and Louise Prignano; loving brother of Ruth (Bruce) Pedersen and preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Edward, Dorothy Fiore, Anna, Ida Parrilli, Michael, Alfred and Charles; brother-in-law of the late Alwin Foleno and loved by the late Auntie Florence and family. Resting at the Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Rd. (between Army Trail Rd. and North Ave.), Glendale Heights, on Saturday 5 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday 8:15 a.m. to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Melrose Park. Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven.
