The Geneva City Council approved construction of a commuter parking deck at the south end of the Dodson Place site, on the east side of 3rd Street, with a limitation that the only city taxpayer funds to be used will be from the commuter parking fund.
The city will seek state and federal funds in addition to support pledged by Metra. The deck will contain 589 parking spaces and will cost about $7.8 million.
