Chicago-based network infrastructure services provider Universal Access Inc. and Electric Lightwave Inc. of Vancouver, Wash., have formed an alliance to expand their fiber-optic network reach through Universal Access’ Universal Transport Exchange, or UTX, facilities. The companies said the strategic alliance will allow them both to leverage the networks of a variety of carriers to give them “virtually limitless network access.”
