Has McHenry County dropped off the face of the Earth? Apparently, in the eyes of Tribune Co., it has. Our McHenry section used to provide enough local news to satisfy my desire to know what’s going on in my back yard, as well as the world. Now it seems the calendar of events is the only thing local about the local section of the Trib. I prefer not to attend every city council or school board meeting; rather, I would appreciate some substantive information regarding the significant actions of such groups in the local section of my daily paper.
