Congratulations to Pat Temple on her most insightful Feb. 18 letter, “Arbitrary education standards.” Most of us who have raised children have seen why children achieve or fail. Ultimately it goes back to the home. Before we expect our schools and teachers to perform miracles, we should hold the parents accountable.
