Bernard Rose, age 80, of Northbrook, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, loving husband of Norma Rose for 58 years. He also leaves behind beloved daughter Denise Rose and her husband and loving son-in-law Larry Spivack and one son Steven and one grandchild Shawn and one great-grandchild. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He graduated from DePaul University with a degree in accounting. For nearly 35 years, he worked for Gold Seal Liquors, Inc., retiring as a Vice President of the company. Bernie was active in social and charitable organizations including serving as President of the Local Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Ass’n. and was committed to helping the Parkinson Foundation. Bernie’s family and friends will miss him very, very much. Graveside service Monday, 1 p.m., at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand and Wilke Roads, Arlington Heights.
