When it comes to brunches, some — that would be me — like it hot. I dine in restaurants so many evenings that brunch is a rare treat, but when I do indulge, give me something lively, such as the crab cakes Benedict with spicy hollandaise at Cafe 28, or the huevos divorciados at Adobo Grill.

But if you prefer a less-abrupt beginning to your Sunday, fear not. Our annual brunch roundup — so large it takes two weeks to tell you about it — has enough variety to satisfy anyone. Whether you’re in the mood for a low-key, neighborhood hangout, a full-blown, 50-plus-item buffet or anything in between, you’ll find it inside in our city brunch list.

Unless otherwise specified, brunches listed inside are offered every Sunday. You’ll note that one or two are available Saturdays, some Saturdays and Sundays, and that a few restaurants offer brunch only on Easter and Mother’s Day — the biggest days on the brunch calendar.

Speaking of Easter and Mother’s Day, keep in mind that many brunches offer more elaborate spreads — and higher prices — on those days. We’ve included that information when we could, but if only one price is listed, it might go up on the Big Days.
