A Downers Grove man recently was arrested after allegedly kicking in the door of a home in the 6100 block of Woodward Avenue, near Downers Grove, and hitting the female occupant, police said. James Lange, 40, of the 4500 block of Cross Street was charged with battery and criminal damage to property, police said.
