Leiva E. “Lea” Klaus, 76, of Yorkville died Monday, May 21, in her home. She was born in Ravenwood, Mo. She married Theodore Klaus in Knoxville, Iowa, in 1959, a union that lasted for 33 years until his death. For many years she was a Mary Kay Cosmetics representative in the area. She also was previously employed by the Valley Free Press in Somonauk. Survivors include two sons, Kurt and Warren; four daughters, Jean Luther, Linda Hektor, Carol Murray and Glenda Beringner; three brothers, Bernard, Gerald and Robert Eckstein; four sisters, Eva Fimple, Eileen Fisher, Emelia Myers and Clarice Holtman; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Cross Lutheran Church, Illinois Highway 47, Yorkville.
