Shane Komine struck out 12 and Nebraska moved within one win of its first College World Series appearance by shutting out Rice 7-0 Friday in the opening game of an NCAA super-regional in Lincoln, Neb.

All super-regionals are best two of three games.

The round was to resume early Saturday Nallen and Florida’s Nick Gilliam, who was 3 under through eight holes Friday, were both at 8 under for the tournament and three strokes behind Barnes.
