Conrad E. Wollney, 78, a retired employee of Western Electric Co. in Cicero and a resident of Westmont for 51 years, died Saturday, June 9, in ManorCare Health Services in Westmont. Mr. Wollney was employed for 43 years at Western Electric, where he worked in the plating room. He retired in the mid-1980s. “He was a gardener and a fisherman,” said his son, Thomas. Among his other interests was collecting Christmas decorations. “He had a very elaborate display of Christmas decorations outside of his home,” said his daughter, Shirley Lyles. “It had everything from Nativity scenes to angels.” Mr. Wollney was born in Cicero. Other survivors include his wife Lillian; a brother, Robert; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Adams-Winterfield and Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St., Downers Grove. A mass will be said at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 111 S. Cass Ave., Westmont.
