Advertising it as a “Warhol Weekend,” Chicago Filmmakers is presenting two programs of early shorts by the legendary pop artist and filmmaker that you are not likely to find at a video store.

The weekend starts at 8 p.m. Friday with a screening of 1964’s “Couch,” Warhol’s paean to the well-traveled red couch at the old Silver Factory on East 47th Street, along with 1963’s “Haircut (No. 1)” and “Mario Banana (No. 1)”. The festivities conclude at 8 p.m. on Sunday with 1967’s “Sunset” (a commissioned series of sunsets), 1965’s “Restaurant” (a documentary starring the late Edie Sedgwick), and 1964’s “Shoulder” (a four-minute profile of dancer Lucinda Childs). The Friday program is at Columbia College, 600 S. Michigan Ave. The Sunday program is at Chicago Filmmakers, 5243 N. Clark St. $6. 773-293-1447.
