The only drawback to buying an album by the Ex is not being able to see the Dutch quintet perform the songs. Even without the veteran band’s buzzing visual energy, “Dizzy Spells” packs a wallop, with guitars chattering and groaning over spastic, syncopated beats, and G.W. Sok’s agit-prop polemics balanced by Katrin’s sweeter, more reflective imagery.
