The newest state-of-the-art, 21st Century airport should be built in the south area, a.k.a. Peotone. The land is there, it is properly zoned and it can be designed to limit noise.
This would be the No. 1 airport.
O’Hare, Meigs and Midway would still service their areas, as would Gary, Rockford and Milwaukee.
The United States needs all of the available airports. Let us stop this gridlock and go for the best.
