Richard Allen Tomaszek, age 62 of Chicago, suddenly, cherished son of Alice, nee Swieke and the late Eugene; devoted husband of Susan, nee Swasko; beloved father of Cynthia (Thomas) Vivian and Kimberly (Brian) Blacklaw; loving son-in-law of Ruth, (the late Rev. Andrew) Swasko; fond brother-in-law of John (Donna), Richard (Kathleen) and Joyce (Andrew) Bethune; loved nephew of Ann (the late Ralph) Serpico; survived and loved by nieces, nephews and many friends. Richard served the funeral industry with his entire adult life. Many admired his dedication to perfectionism and his unequalled work ethic. He had an immense commitment to his family and he served as an Eucharistic minister of the Queen of the Universe Church, bringing communion to the sick and elderly in the community.
