I have been reading all the pros (almost none) and all of the many cons on President Bush’s decision to allow limited funding on established stem cell lines.

The far right is wrong, as usual. The far left is wrong, as usual.

The middle of the road is correct, as usual. Bush took it, allowing a bone for the right and the left.

We have not even come near to exhausting the alternative sources of stem cells and research on them. When that is exhausted, we can then rethink Bush’s decision.

We are living in a time when people are protesting the use of animals for research, but we are supposed to accept the testing on unwilling humans.

I know that we are told that the little bundle of cells is less than human. Isn’t that what the Nazis thought about Jews and their experiments upon them?

Will 100 percent of the world think differently in 50 years when some researcher takes that little bundle of cells and feeds and protects it as a woman does in her womb, and lets it grow into the mature human it already is?

Make no mistake about it. That little bundle of cells is an immature human just going through its first stages of life. Will these overly aggressive researchers eventually be painted with the same brush that the Nazis are today?
