John R. Ceas, 63, of Naperville and Mountain Home, AR, beloved husband of the late Cordeli, nee Dahlgren; loving father of Gayle (John) Gosciniak and Phyllis Ceas; loved grandfather of Jay and Patrick; fond brother of Edward (Dolores) and Donald Wayne (Carol) and brother-in-law of Jackie Ceas-Burford; cherished uncle to seven and cousin to many. Also preceded in death by his parents John J. and Fern, nee Brusted, and his brother Richard. John resided in both Naperville, IL and Mountain Home, AR. He was a retired engineer with the Chicago Fire Dept., Engine Company 83. He served for the Chicago Fire Dept. for over 30 years and was a member of the Chicago Fire Fighters Union Local No. 2 for 40 years. John was also a member of the Fraternal Organization of Elks, Mountain Home Lodge #1714. John enjoyed his family and friends and was an avid fisherman. Visitation Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Prayers Thursday 9 a.m. from the funeral home going to Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth, Naperville for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment Elm Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Chicago Fire Dept., Widow and Orphans Fund.
