The Wilmette Museum’s Third Annual Historic Auto Show is an event for the wee ones — cars, that is.
This year’s show features more than 30 mini and micro cars, most of which came into being in post-World War II Europe, in the aftermath of extreme materials shortages. Examples of these mostly entry-level transportation models include a 1937 Fiat Topolino (Little Mouse), an Isetta, a Messerschmitt and a 2000 Corbin Sparrow.
Post-show, a parade of featured cars will run through Wilmette.
The show runs from noon-4 p.m. Sunday at the Wilmette Historical Museum, 609 Ridge Road, Wilmette. Free; 847-853-7666.
