I ache for our country. I feel we are too easy and open with our borders. Our airports look like shopping-mall food courts with people wandering around freely.
Compare this to Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom. You can have intelligent security without a Gestapo feel. It must be done.
Bring back the armed air marshals. If the airlines can afford to fly nearly empty jumbo jets across the country, why can’t they afford on-board armed security? I mean well-trained, well-paid guards, not the slovenly, bored, underpaid, unskilled workers who look as if they couldn’t care less.
Will it take 10 or more years to bring yesterday’s perpetrators to justice like those responsible for other terrorist acts? Will U.S. authorities continue to tiptoe around so we don’t offend anyone or trample on anyone’s rights?
