Rose C. Kestel, age 95, Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, born in Manhattan, IL May 16, 1906 and a lifetime resident of Manhattan and Chicago. Employed by the Finance Office of the U.S. Army. Member of Daughters of Isabella, Secular Franciscans, the Blue Army and Friar Legion. Loving sister of Cecelia (the late Elmer) Boucher of Plainfield and Louis A. Kestel of Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna, nee Bayer, Kestel; five brothers, Clarance, Frank, Joseph, Leo and John Kestel; two sisters, Marie (Joseph) Doyle and Theresa Kestel. Funeral Services will be Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan.
