The 18th annual Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, which kicked off on Oct. 25, concludes Sunday afternoon with an awards ceremony. This is the time to see the best films chosen from the 250 features, live-action shorts and animated films from 50 countries.
These films will include some of the prize-winners selected by an adult jury of media professionals and those chosen by a group of 60 members of the children’s jury, as well as those awarded the Liv Ullman Peace Prize and the Rights of the Child Prize. Also, during the 11-day festival kids who attended the screenings were able to vote for their favorites for the Best of Fest award and the Green Screen prize.
Harold Ramis will host the ceremony, which filmmakers and actors from around the world will attend. The awards presentation begins at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St. Tickets: $25. 773-281-9075.
