I’m disappointed with Hector Barraza, the guy who claims that “flag-waving fools” are not patriotic and should instead go out and vote (Voice of the people, Nov. 1).Who says that “flag-waving fools” don’t vote?
More important, what makes voting so patriotic? Can’t a non-voting person reasonably rely upon an elected official to do the job honestly, diligently and correctly, regardless of who actually put the politician into office?
I’m sorry, Mr. Barraza, but blatantly criticizing “flag-waving fools” at this traumatic time in our history is quite unproductive, silly and, yes, even unpatriotic
