Authorities on Tuesday identified a woman found strangled and partially unclothed in the Logan Park neighborhood.

Autopsy results showed the victim, Elaine Boneta, 41, of the 2600 block of West North Avenue, was strangled, but it was unclear whether she had been sexually assaulted, said a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

At about 4 a.m. Monday, Boneta’s body was found lying face up on the curb in the 2400 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue, police said. Chicago Fire Department paramedics tried to revive her but could not. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:45 a.m.

A Grand Central Area detective said there were no suspects in the slaying.
