Karen L. Johnson, 63, of Chicago, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Family Heritage Care Center, Black River Falls, WI. She was born in Chicago on Sept. 22, 1938. Graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 1956. Attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. Worked at D’Arcy McManus Masius Advertising, Aid Association for Lutherans, American Trans Air, survived by mother, Mildred L. Johnson; sister, Janet (John) Sternaman; nephews, Andrew C. and Edward C. Sternaman; nieces, Susan M. Rabcock, Judith A. Brauner, and Rebecca A. Jelinek; great-nephews, James L. and Nathan W. Babcock, Paul G. and Mathew G. Brauner, Justin M. Jelinek; great-nieces, Michelle A. Lien, Kaitlyn M. Noggle, and Stephanie J. Brauner, all of Black River Falls, WI. Memorial funeral services Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at noon from Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1650 W. Foster Av., Chicago. Visitation 11:30 a.m. to noon. Burial Acacia Park Cemetery.
