All year long the Tribune has shown an anti-University of Illinois bias. All year long the Illini have not been the headline story of the Sunday Tribune, as you instead chose to highlight the “glorious” seasons of Northwestern and Notre Dame. Rick Morrissey’s Nov. 15 article really takes the cake, however.

The absence of Steve Bellisari was not the reason the Buckeyes lost the game. Even the most ardent Buckeyes fan would agree that Bellisari isn’t exactly the second coming of Art Schlichter–the guy would be lucky to make an Arena Football League squad. Ohio State started the game without its starting quarterback, but Illinois started the game without its leading rusher. How come there’s no mention of that in the article? Weren’t the Illini also “less than whole,” as Mr. Morrissey claims Ohio State was?
