Johann “Hans” Rating, 81, resident of Lakeview for over 30 years, formerly of Bochum, Germany, passed away on Jan. 5, 2002, beloved companion of Irmgard Boothe; loving father of Erika (Franz Egon) Kaspar; dearest opa of Elena, Julian and Paul Kaspar; fond bruder of Helmut (Kaethe), the late Helen (the late John) Sender and the late Eric; dear onkel of Eilene (Victor) Vaca and Ronnie Sender. A private inurnment and service will be held at his burial site at Chapel Hill Gardens South.
