Maureen Jefferson, nee Byrd, passed from earth to Heaven on January 26, 2002. She was a native of Birmingham, Alabama and has resided in the Chicago area for 49 years. Service of memory will be held at Lilydale Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 11:30 a.m. Saturday February 2, 2002. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, five sons, one adopted son, one brother, three sisters; 21 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one son-in-law; five daughterin-laws; many nieces, nephews, friends & relatives. Maureen will be laid to rest along side her deceased husband Columbus at Oak Lawn Memorial Lane, Dolton, IL. Gatling’s Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
