The latest Doctrine of the Faith that Rev. Patrick R. Lagges, of the Archdiocese of Chicago, defends provides more ways to protect predatory sexual criminals who are priests in Catholic churches (“Clarifying new rules about misconduct of priest,” Voice of the people, Jan. 28).
Those who defend the doctrine indirectly defend the criminals and help them continue to victimize innocent children. So we should be angry at the institution that continuously provides these criminals with a venue to commit such acts–the Catholic Church.
This Church is a co-conspirator, whether Lagges can admit it or not.
