Alphild Christine Peterson, passed away Jan. 28, 2002 in Sacramento, CA. Alphild was born Sept. 26, 1912 in Chicago to Frank and Hulda Benson, immigrants from Sweden. She had lived until recently in Santa Barbara, CA since 1970. Alphild was married to the late Gerald Peterson, who passed away in 1976. Alphild leaves behind three loving sons, Robert, of Santa Barbara, Kenneth, of Sacramento, CA and Thomas, of Middletown, CA; her sister, Eileen Sorensen of Santa Barbara, passed away in 2000. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Chapel at 450 Ward Dr., Santa Barbara, 805-965-5145. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
