Ramona C. Mueller, 87, of Barrington, worked her whole career as a beautician in Oak Park. Mrs. Mueller died Saturday, Feb. 2, in Plum Grove Nursing Home, Palatine. Mrs. Mueller was born and raised in Elmhurst. After attending beauty school, she spent four years as a hair stylist at Rende’s Beauty Salon in Oak Park and then at several other salons. Mrs. Mueller was married in 1935. In the late 1940s she began working at Curl and Beauty Hair Salon and spent 16 years there. Mrs. Mueller retired in 1976 and moved to Hot Springs Village, Ark., with her husband, Raymond. In 2001 she and her husband moved to Barrington. Making women look beautiful “was one of her passions in life,” said her husband of 66 years.”She was very vibrant and open. She was always on the move.” Mrs. Mueller is also survived by two daughters, Donna Dreier and Karen Vontin; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Ave., Barrington.
